Through this program, RAC acted as the Construction Manager for the repair of hurricane damaged single family residential homes owned by low to moderate income homeowners using HUD and CDBG funding. A challenge with this program involved contracting with individual homeowners. Each home had a different grant award amount and cost of repair estimate, which our team verified and generated. Additionally, an environmental study was performed for each property. Since each property had an award cap, the HUD priority guidelines were followed to complete the most important work within the cap first. Our team managed the process from the environmental impact study through project closeout for each homeowner.
