History

In 1955, Roy Anderson Jr. founded this company on the principles of honesty and integrity at a time when a handshake was all that was needed to seal a deal.

After earning his engineering degree from Georgia Tech in 1951, Roy served his country in the United States Air Force as a pilot in the Korean War. Following his tour of duty, he returned home to start a construction company. With one pickup, two employees and a mere $3,000, Roy Anderson Jr. Inc. was created.  Incorporated in 1962, Roy Anderson Corp continued to grow not only in size but in reputation as it brought superior quality construction to the Gulf South.

In 2011, Roy Anderson Corp was acquired by Tutor Perini Corporation (NYSE: TPC), one of the country’s largest and oldest construction services companies. Capitalizing on similar core strengths, Tutor Perini Corporation provides Roy Anderson Corp with enhanced opportunities for growth through increased size, scale and management capabilities, immediate access to multiple regions and strong financial resources.
