Roy Anderson Corp. Awarded Four Projects Valued at $127 Million

GULFPORT, Miss.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Tutor Perini Corporation (NYSE: TPC), a leading civil and building construction company, today announced that its subsidiary, Roy Anderson Corp., has recently been awarded four contracts collectively valued at approximately $127 million. Roy Anderson Corp. is one of the leading general contracting firms in the southeast U.S., providing quality-oriented general contracting and construction management services for six decades.

University of Mississippi Medical Center / School of Medicine, Jackson, MS
Owner: State of Mississippi, Bureau of Building, Grounds & Real Property Management
Contract Value: approx. $50 million
Scope of work: This new four-story, 171,000 sf, cast-in-place concrete building will consist of state-of-the-art classrooms, laboratories, amphitheaters, study space, administrative offices, and student lounges. Laboratories will include a simulation suite, ACLS training suite, clinical skills assessment suite, and multipurpose labs. The space will increase the incoming class sizes from 135 students per year to more than 165. The School of Medicine will connect to the Learning Resource Center. The contract value will be included as part of the Company’s reported first-quarter backlog.

University of Mississippi Union Addition & Renovation, Oxford, MS
Owner: State of Mississippi, Bureau of Building, Grounds & Real Property Management
Contract Value: approx. $46 million
Scope of work: Construction of a new four-story, 94,000 sf, cast-in-place concrete Student Union with dining areas and a food court and the interior and exterior renovation of the existing three-story, 129,234 sf Student Union Building. The renovated portion will contain a Barnes and Noble bookstore, Council Room, student lounge, and office and administrative areas for the Dean of Students and staff. The contract value for this three-phase project will be included as part of the Company’s reported second-quarter backlog.

University of Mississippi Medical Center / Garage C and Roadway Revisions Package A – Garage C, Jackson, MS

Contract Value: approx. $18 million
Scope of work: A new 330,000 sf, eight-story, 980-car, precast concrete parking garage with a structural steel and glass bridge connecting this garage to the existing Dental School, as well as a new exterior elevator and stair tower. The contract value will be included as part of the Company’s reported second-quarter backlog.

Louisiana Cancer Research Center – 5th & 6th Floor Fit-Out, New Orleans, LA
Owner: Louisiana Cancer Research Consortium
Contract Value: approx. $13 million
Scope of work: The fit-out of two 25,000 sf floors in a ten-story building originally completed by Roy Anderson in March 2012. The 5th floor is designed for clinical trials and consists of exam rooms, office space, pharmacy, and phlebotomy lab. A new elevator exclusively serving the fifth and sixth floors will be installed within an existing shaft. The 6th floor will be fit out for an open laboratory area research space along with procedure rooms, offices, and conference rooms. This work will be completed in an occupied building without disruption to existing research or utilities. The contract value will be included as part of the Company’s reported first-quarter backlog.
