Roy Anderson Corp. Announces $59 Million Contract to Construct Visiting Quarters at Joint Base Charleston

GULFPORT, Miss.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Tutor Perini Corporation (NYSE: TPC), a leading civil, building and specialty construction company, today announced that its subsidiary, Roy Anderson Corp., has been awarded a contract valued at approximately $59 million by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for construction of the Visiting Quarters at Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina. The project entails construction of a new four-story, approximately 149,000 square-foot building that will include 266 guest rooms, appropriate back of house areas, guest laundries, housekeeping function spaces, a multifunctional lobby, a business center, conference rooms, an exercise room and restrooms, among other improvements. The new Visiting Quarters will be Certified Silver under LEED for New Construction.

Work is expected to begin in the next 30 days with substantial completion anticipated in the summer of 2020. The contract value will be included in the Company’s third quarter 2018 backlog.
