Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America Inc.
This project, the eighth Toyota manufacturing plant to be built in the U.S., was built on 1,700 acres near Tupelo. The environmentally sensitive project, used recycled materials throughout construction. The team, which initially completed foundations work on site, subsequently handled the 130,000-square foot press, 190,000-square foot ED weld and 210,000-square foot paint buildings portion. The utilities zone project – which includes construction of an 18,000-square foot process utilities building and equipment placement. Additionally, the team performed an interior build-out of the plant’s cafeteria. The project also included constructing a 40,000-square foot shop/office foundations building.
