Magnolia and Oak Halls consist of two, four story Residence Halls that are a continuation of the long term development plan for student housing on the Mississippi State University campus. Building A is 130,662 square feet. Each of the 182 rooms is double occupancy with its own bathroom and features wireless internet, individual temperature controls and card-reader locks rather than traditional keys. There are also 8 beds for Resident Assistants and 10 ADA rooms for a total of 382 beds. Also included is a 2 bedroom Apartment for the Resident Director. Building B is 130,678 square feet and features the same number of beds and features as Building A. Each floor offers a lobby, kitchen, study areas and laundry facilities. The structure of each building consists of a poured concrete foundation, wood framed system with a standing seam metal roof. The primary exterior materials are masonry with glass-fiber reinforced concrete.
