This project, the eighth Toyota manufacturing plant to be built in the U.S., was built on 1,700 acres in Blue Springs, Miss. (near Tupelo). The environmentally sensitive project, used recycled materials throughout construction. The team, which initially completed foundations work on site, subsequently handled the 130,000-square-foot press, 190,000-squarefoot ED weld and 210,000-square-foot paint buildings portion. The utilities zone project - which includes construction of an 18,000 - square-foot process utilities building and equipment placement. Additionally, the team performed an interior build-out of the plant’s cafeteria. The project also included constructing a 40,000-square-foot shop/office foundations building.
