When Hurricane Katrina hit the Mississippi Gulf Coast, the Grand Casino Biloxi Resort took a direct hit. As a result, an extensive renovation was made to the remaining hotel and convention center. Originally built by Roy Anderson Corp in 1998, this 14-story, 494-room luxury hotel now has a different look and feel with new color schemes which alternate every other floor. New restaurants include LB’s Steakhouse, a 300-seat buffet, an Asian noodle bar, and a Starbuck’s. The 16,000 square foot Bellisimo Spa and Salon received new tile and floor covering throughout. Existing convention space was converted into a 30,000 square foot gaming facility which includes 800 slots and 25 table games.
