This new 68,000 square foot, 2-story Science Center will feature interactive exhibits which focus on the interdependent ecology of the Earth and its relationship within the solar system. The building will include a 3,268 square foot, 216-person capacity restaurant and café, a full size 2,855 square foot commercial kitchen, 11,268 square feet of office space, 1,835 square feet of retail space, 4,661 square feet of classroom space and a 1,980 square foot Immersive Theater. The focus of the building is the 7,347 square feet of Gallery space which will include areas on Science, the Earth, Ocean, and Space. The building is stucco over metal studs supported by structural steel and a spread footing foundation. Cast concrete walls and steel cross bracing will be used for lateral support. The roof consists of a curved standing seam roof system, a flat membrane roof and a roof terrace with a paver system.

Exterior work includes a landscaped pedestrian entrance plaza with a large water feature, a cast stone sign, lighting and flag poles. Finishes include cork and wood flooring, bamboo ceiling panels, quarry tile, porcelain tile, ceramic tile and terrazzo.
