LEED - Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design

The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System is a voluntary, consensus-based national standard for developing high-performance, sustainable buildings.

LEED Accredited Professionals (LEED APs) are building industry professionals who have demonstrated a thorough understanding of green buildings and the LEED Green Building Rating System. The rating system encourages and accelerates global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices through the creation and implementation of universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria.

In-house LEED Accredited Professionals are knowledgeable in sustainable design and construction including: sustainable site development, water efficiency, energy efficiency, material and resource selection, indoor environmental quality and life cycle analysis.

The key role of the contractor in the LEED process is the ability to quickly and accurately estimate the cost of the approaches proposed by the design team for each LEED credit. This allows the project team to assess the cost/benefit of each proposal credit to ensure the best value is obtained.

Roy Anderson Corp works as a partner with our clients, contributing diverse project experience and a team of LEED APs, addressing challenges and using innovative strategies to meet green building standards.

Early involvement of a knowledgeable contractor is key to determining the best value design strategy for achieving your green goals or LEED Certification.
